This place is one of the places I go to when I go back 2 the isles....that and Rainbows. I found this place from a friend 10+ years ago. The 5 spice chicken & any type of curry is what I get. Many people bypass this place in the food court, but once you try it u will craze 4 Thai every time u pass this mall.

EVIL JUNGLE CURRY. I have never heard of that dish until I found Thai Mixed Plate. LOL. Main things for me here are the 5 Spice Chicken, Sticky Rice, Papaya Salad, and the Thai Iced Tea. Nothing special here though, just average good thai food. I come here every once in a while, but I guess I prefer the other places in the food court. Evil. Evil Jungle. Evil Jungle Curry. (Seriously tho? Why is it called that?! LOL.)

Had the green curry. Can't help but compare it to my recent green curry at Phuket Thai. There's basically no comparison. The eggplant seemed old, the skin was hard and the inside mushy. While there was a hint of coconut milk it wasn't enough. However, for the price it was OK. For a quick plate lunch this place is a good choice.

2 words: Quick Thai. It's decent, but nothing great. It seems that people either love it or don't here....we are in the middle on that one. It's convenient and quick when we are shopping in the area. They have white meat chicken, not dark meat, which is a plus for me. I am just used to being able to customize how spicy I want something and love when my food comes out piping hot and fresh. The sticky rice is cheap here...which is a definite plus! But the fountain soda isn't the best....bring your own drink!

I like coming to this restaurant but I always get take out. I hardly ever eat at the food court. I like their evil jungle curry and five spices (species on the sign) chicken. They give a lot of food for what you pay for. Haven't eaten here in awhile but I would def go back.

I .heart. Thai Mixed Plate!! When you craving for some Thai yumminess, but your other half doesn't like Thai food, Pearl Kai Food Court is the place to be... I fondly remember the days of my youth when the Tom Yum Soup would soothe my soul.. ok who am I kidding here, I started eating here in college when I used to go to West Oahu. The food is pretty good for a take out place. I'm a Thai Snob, and believe that if it ain't good, I don't come back, but this place is pretty decent especially for your wallet. I adore the panang curry or the green curry or even the evil jungle prince, I also love the spicy bamboo. When I'm feeling under the weather, I always try to stop by for some Tom Yum Soup, helps the congestion. But more than likely, you'll see me chowing down some Green Curry or Evil Jungle Prince with a side of sticky rice. Love this place. It's been around for a long time in this food court! And you can bet that I will be back for more....

Acquired taste. Some will love it, some will not. I have to admit that I haven't eaten at many Thai food places, so I don't know what "good" Thai food is supposed to taste like, but I'm definitely a fan of Thai Mixed Plate in the Pearl Highlands Food Court. I recommend the sticky rice for your starch and for my first choice I always go for the Evil Jungle Curry. Ask for some of the sauce poured over the rice--you won't be disappointed. Panang chicken is a good second choice, even if I always feel guilty that I'm not getting any of the vegetable items. The pad thai or the long rice is OK, although I agree with one of the Yelpers above that the pad thai can be a bit dry at times. Great customer service. Whether its the Thai woman with the long hair or the Thai guy who works with one arm behind his back or even the bolo-head guy who looks like Georges St. Pierre, I always get good friendly service and LOTS of food! Only thing I don't like is the lack of fountain soda. Maybe the thing has gotten fixed but for over a year, seems like everytime I wanted soda, I needed to go to the L&G place to order a soda. Overall though, Thai Mixed Plate is probably my favorite place to eat in the otherwise mediocre Pearl Highlands Food Court.

Seeing that this place got one 5 star review, I had to go check it out. I rallied the lunch time diner's club from work and we began our pilgrimage to the other end of pearl city. After driving in some circles and arriving at this forsaken food court, we had high hopes. Google had some more reviews and many mentioned a grumpy thai dude that will serve your plate with a furrowed brow. When you go into a place expectin bad service its actually kind of funny, rather than off-putting. When I walked up to the glass, there was a nice young lady, and grumpy guss no where to be found. I was disheartened. And then he waltzed out. Redemption. Without even looking at me he got my order and started plopping curry on the plate. Then I asked for panang curry (you get a combo plate) and I got a look "b**** u crazy," but still got what I wanted. The only drawback was the panang was slighty cold. Bleh. But it's a mall foodcourt. Cheap tasty thai food in a mall. Win. Also chicken curry egg rolls are awesome.

Oh my, my, my. It's been a while since I've been to the islands... well, actually not THAT long, but maaaaaaaaaan, I haven't been here in 5 years!!!!! I STILL CAN'T GET THAT FIVE-SPICE CHICKEN OUT OF MY BRAIN! I currently live in Las Vegas, and every Thai restaurant I've hit up has nothing on the five-spice chicken at Thai Mixed Plate... all that finger-licking goodness... I remember ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS getting the same plate. Five spice chicken, sticky rice, and pad-thai noodles with EXTRA peanuts PLEASE. Wash all that down with a big-ass Thai Tea, and I'm GOOD. Someone, mail me this plate! Next time I'm in da 'aina, I am making this my next, NEXT stop... of course... Zippy's first ah?

Awesome cheap Thai! I had the chiclen panang and the evil jungle with sticky rice. The panang was a rich and just spicy enough without being overpowering, and the flavors of peanut and coconut were very evident. And how can you not try something called "Evil Jungle?". Turns out it's a lot like chicken panang, but with cabbage and without the peanut and not as spicy. Also very good. Make sure to try the curry chickem egg roll...definitely different but awesome! An then there's the Thai nazi. God bless the Thai nazi! Another review warned of the surely service, but knowing what's coming really changes the perspective. Turns out that the guy who works there is a man of few words but has a heavy hand when it comes to the ladle. So what if he eyes you with question if you order the chicken panang? He'll give you enough of it that you won't care! Overall a great experience. Highly recommended if you're in the area!

Evil jungle curry, papaya salad, five spices chicken is all good. They serve brown rice. The only disappointment is they stopped selling diet dr. pepper, my fav, and they only cook ginger chicken once in awhile. They have the best ginger chicken I have ever eaten. You can't beat the price, it is the very, very affordable. plate lunch is cheaper than value meal at fast food place

2 choices for $6.25, not bad at all. They give generous servings. Atleast that's how I saw it. I had panang curry n d 5 spices fried chicken. The flavor of panang was excellent. Very tasty n not too spicy, compared to d evil jungle curry sauce. The 5 spices chicken tasted almost similar to d Korean fried chicken but d 5 spice was more dry n d sugar was more caramelized. Their brown rice was moist n different from d regular brown rice. I would have given this place with more stars if I didn't end up with mostly batter on my 5 spices fried chicken n if d chicken wasn't too tough. It was overcooked. Followed by a dessert-iced thai tea. It was definitely very sweet. Just add more ice n it'll b fine.thinking about coming back??? Nah!!! There are better one. Remember, You get what you paid for!!!

I've tried this place several times and didn't care for it until I had their spicy basil chicken with sticky rice. Yum!
